You Called Me Back

In times gone by,
you called me back,
from tempest shores of sinking sand.
With Rowan wreathed hands outstretched
you brought me back,
from the shadowlands
of tepid pools and shallow graves,
where darkness churns into its depths.
And where I stood for an eternity, it seemed,
hallow and silent.
Until your haunting whisper called,
drawing me back,
into the light,
where you stand in gleaming wonder.

You called me back,
and for you,
my thanks ~
for doing what no other could do,
for being my saving grace.
