Beyond Eternity's Meeting

I've known you long and known you well,
though time and distance betray our meeting.
The span of a life in infinite expanse
cannot separate what has grown outside
of universal perception.
I know you, though we do not touch.
I see your inner depths transcend,
though I cannot picture your face.
I feel your deepest emotions
as though they were my own,
though we will never touch hand to hand,
meet face to face,
stand toe to toe,
or see eye to eye.
I have walked with you in spirit embodiment
long since the universe settled into
its mysterious migration.
I will know you for an eternity,
though we shall never meet again.
I will know you without thought, fact or reason,
though I may pass you by without recollection.
I've known you and will know you
with spirit mind and spirit heart,
in the place where ours was grown,
and there we will reunite.
